Double Degree Structure

Students must complete 90 UOC for this Double Degree.

1. Master of Law (LLM) - 36 UOC

The LLM requires completion of a total of 36 UOC.

Core Courses: Students who have NOT completed an Australian law degree must complete LAWS8214 Global Common Law Systems (6 UOC) and LAWS8213 Legal Concepts, Research and Writing (6 UOC) in their first law enrolled term.

Specialisation (optional): Students may complete a specialisation by taking 24 UOC of LAWS courses listed in the relevant Specialisation List.

Law Electives: All remaining courses must be taken from the program approved LAWS Elective List, up to the total 36 UOC required for the law degree.

2. Master of Business Administration (MBA Law) - 54 UOC

Double Counting Rules

In this double degree students take 48 UOC for the LLM and 72 UOC for the MBA, for a total of 120 UOC. Because 30 UOC required for both degrees overlap, the total minimum UOC required for the double degree is reduced by 30 UOC to 90 UOC.
