Students must take 6 UOC of the following courses.

Students need to complete two non credit bearing (0 UoC) professional development elements . SCIF0000 should be enrolled in during the first term of study and SCIF3010 should be enrolled in the final term of study. Students will engage in course Moodle activities as well as the Sciconnect platform (www.sciconnect.unsw.edu.au) to complete these elements.

Students must take 12 UOC of the following courses.

Please refer to the current year’s handbook for an updated list of options for Employability Experience courses.

Students must complete at least one Science major selected from the list below.

Students should declare their major prior to commencing Stage 2 courses. Students may also opt to complete either a second major OR up to 2 minors.

Please Note: Students are not permitted to take the Science Bioinformatics Major (BINFB1) when taking double degree 3767 Bachelor of Engineering, if they plan to take the Engineering Bioinformatics Major (BINFAH).

Students cannot complete a minor with the same name as their nominated major. Students must declare their minor(s) before their final term.

Students need to complete 96 UOC to meet the core requirements for the Bachelor of Science. If the core courses plus your choice of specialisation(s) requires less than 96 UOC, you are required to complete additional Science elective courses from the following list to meet the 96 UOC requirement.

Students must complete a minimum of 24 UOC of the following courses.

A maximum of 72 UOC of Level 1 courses can be taken, including any General Education or mainstream Level 1 course taken to fulfil either the General Education or the Free Elective requirement.

You must complete at least one of the following Major specialisations (48 UOC).

You must complete at least one of the following Minor specialisations (36 UOC) or a second Major specialisation listed above (48 UOC).

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Your minor must be in a different specialisation area from your major, e.g. you cannot complete a minor in Chinese Studies and a major in Advanced Chinese Studies.

2. The following two minors are not available in the single degree 3409 Bachelor of Arts, but only in the specified dual degrees as follows.

The Mathematics for Engineers minor is only available in 3961 Engineering (Honours)/Arts and 3732 Engineering Science/Arts.

The Legal Studies minor is only available in 4053 Arts/Education (Secondary).

If you do not complete a second Major specialisation, you must complete 12 UOC of additional courses from the above Major or Minor specialisations, or from the following courses.
