Overview

The Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Science (Advanced Mathematics) (Honours)(BCom/BSc (Adv Math) (Hons) is a 5 year dual degree program which will meet the needs of students wanting an advanced program of study in mathematics or statistics, complemented with a strong, focused and highly regarded business course.

Double Degree Structure

Students must complete 240 UOC.

Bachelor of Advanced Mathematics (Honours) (144 UOC)

  1. An approved Advanced Mathematics (Honours) major
  2. SCIF1131
  3. 48 units of credit Honours Year
  4. Science elective courses

Bachelor of Commerce (96 UOC)

  1. Integrated First Year Courses (42 UOC) - 3523 students do not have to take COMM1110 as this requirement is satisfied in the Advanced Mathematics program
  2. myBCom (0 UOC)
  3. Commerce major (48UOC)
  4. Prescribed Work Integrated Learning Course - Requirement can be satisfied by taking a Science or Commerce WIL course
  5. Final Year Synthesis (0 - 6UOC) - Requirement can be satisfied by taking SCIF3000, however students will still need to complete 96 UOC of Business courses
  6. Business electives to make up to 96UOC Business School disciplinary requirement
