Demonstrate an understanding of the physical and chemical forces that drive coastal and oceanic processes.

Explain the major taxonomic groups of marine organisms and how they differ in structural complexity and evolutionary history.
3.
Understand and be able to communicate discipline specific information regarding the role of science for contemporary environmental issues and management.
