Learning Outcomes
Program Structure
Students must complete 72 UOC when taken as a standalone program.
The program consists of:
1. 30 UOC of compulsory Core Coursework Courses
2. 30 UOC of Electives chosen from the School of Mathematics and Statistics and/or outside the School of Mathematics and Statistics
3. 12 UOC of compulsory supervised Research Project

Progression Requirements
Students usually complete their Research Project during their last one or two Terms. Students are not eligible to start a project until they have completed at least 36 UoC (typically, 6 courses).
- Students who have passed 24 UoC can elect to exit the program with a Graduate Certificate (7659).
- Students who have passed 48 UoC can elect to exit the program with a Graduate Diploma (5659).
- Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate (7659) and have a WAM of 65 may apply to transfer into this Masters program and will receive up to 24 UOC of Advanced Standing.
- Students who have completed the full 48 UOC of the Graduate Diploma (5659), and have a WAM of 65, may apply to transfer into this Masters program and will receive up to 48 UOC of Advanced Standing.
- Students who have completed 24 UOC of the Graduate Diploma (5659), and have a WAM of 65, may apply to transfer into this Masters program and will receive up to 24 UOC of Advanced Standing.
