In today's AI-enabled workplace, managers need to be equipped with knowledge and skills to harness AI technologies to manage themselves and the workforce effectively and in ways that respect human values. This course explores the intersection of work, management practices, and AI technologies. The course prepares students to navigate and leverage AI-driven transformations and to reimagine their work and careers in this evolving environment. It will also guide students to consider the impact of an AI-enabled workforce on their leadership practice.

Students will gain a foundational understanding of AI concepts and their implications for managing themselves and others at work. The course covers topics such as harnessing AI in people management and business processes, the impact of AI on job roles and employment, the use of AI to manage organisational changes, strategies for using AI to achieve work-life balance, and the human resource, legal, ethical, and sustainability considerations of using AI in the workplace. 

This course can be taken as a core elective in the Human Resource Management, International Business, and Strategy and Innovation specialisations. This course can also be taken as an elective in the Master of International Business Program.
