Specialisation Structure
24 Units of Credit:

Students must complete 24 UOC.

Arts/Education (Secondary) Students

The minor in German Studies (24 uoc) must not be taken as it is not an approved teaching specialisation.

Introductory Language Core Courses

If you commence at Introductory Level you must take 12 UOC of the following courses.

Intermediate Language Core Courses

If you commence at Introductory Level you can take up to a maximum of 12 UOC of the following courses.
These are required language courses if you commence at Intermediate Level.

Advanced Language Core Courses

If you commence at Intermediate Level you can take up to a maximum of 12 UOC of the following courses.
These are required language courses if you commence at Advanced Level.

Cross-Institutional Prescribed Electives

If you commence at Advanced Level you may take up to 12 UOC approved upper-level German Studies prescribed electives via cross-institutional study.

Additional Information

Language Studies for Commencing Mid-Year Students

If your language skills are assessed as Level A in Introductory or Advanced you cannot commence study until Term 1.
