Overview

The undergraduate certificate in Engineering develops your practical skills and improves your mathematical understanding. You will complete a selection of four courses, focusing on engineering design, computing, maths, and an elective in a chosen area of Engineering. On successful completion of the certificate, you can transfer your completed courses and continue your studies in the Bachelor of Engineering, subject to meeting the articulation requirements. NOTE: This program does not have CRICOS registration; it is not available for study on a Student Visa.

Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate a conceptual understanding of the mathematics, and computer and information sciences which provide a foundation for the engineering discipline at an introductory level.

Explain engineering design practice and contextual factors impacting the engineering discipline, and apply that to a project.

Articulation
Students can apply to articulate from the Undergraduate Certificate in Engineering to the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) program (3707) with credit for the completed courses provided they achieve a 65 average.
