Double Degree Structure

Students must complete 192 UOC.

This is comprised of:

Actuarial Studies

  1. Level 1 Core Courses* (48 UOC)
  2. Level 2 Core Courses (18 UOC)
  3. Level 3 Actuarial Studies Electives (24 UOC)
  4. Business Elective (6 UOC) - this will be satisfied by the completion of Information System core courses

Information Systems

  1. Business Core Courses (24 UOC) - this will be satisfied in the Actuarial Studies level 1 core courses (Students are not required to complete ECON1203 or MATH1041 as this is satisfied by MATH1251 taken in the Level 1 Core Courses in the Actuarial Studies * program. ECON1101 is also taken as part of the Actuarial Studies program and will count towards this rule too but only needs to be taken once.)
  2. Information Systems Core Courses (72 UOC).

Electives

Where students complete the requirements of the Actuarial Studies and Information Systems components in less than 192 UOC due to courses shared across the rules, students must take electives to ensure a total of 192 UOC is completed. Students may use the electives in the Double-Degree to complete an optional major or minor as per the rules below.
