Program Structure54 Units of Credit:
Students must complete 54 UOC as a standalone program.
Students must complete a total of 54 UOC to complete the program, and will select courses in the relevant area of studies/stream (Commerce, Economics or Information Systems) based on the intended articulated UNSW undergraduate program, i.e. Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Economics or Bachelor of Information Systems.
Communication and Academic Literacy Core Courses
All students must take the following courses.
These courses are requirements of the Diploma in Business but no credit is granted for these courses towards the Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Economic and Bachelor of Information Systems. The course is separated into 3 components because it is taught over 3 terms.

Students in the Commerce stream must take 24 UOC of the following courses.

Students in the Economics stream must take 18 UOC of the following courses.

Students in the Information Systems stream must take 42 UOC of the following courses.

Students in the Commerce stream must take 24 UOC from the following courses.

Academic Program Rules
- Students must complete a minimum of 54 Units of Credit.
- The diploma program is a full-time program. Only in exceptional circumstances, with permission of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) or their nominee, will students be permitted to enrol in the diploma program with a reduced study load.
- Students must complete nine courses. Successful completion of a course means that a student must achieve a Pass or better in the course.
- To articulate to into the second year of a UNSW B Commerce, B Economics or B Information Systems, students will require an overall average of 60% across their best attempt for each first year equivalent course
- Students enrolled in the Diploma will not be eligible for Program Leave except under exceptional circumstances, and with the permission of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) or their nominee.
