Bachelor of Economics/Arts degree normally consists of 192 UOC.

Please note: If you choose to study a 2nd Economics major, you must choose another 6 courses (36 UOC) from the second major that do not overlap with the first major.

You are required to complete one Home Major and one Minor:
Optional External Minors3409 - Arts
External Minors
If you are enrolled in a double degree program, you cannot complete a minor stream in the same Faculty as your second program of study e.g. students enrolled in the BA/BArt Theory, cannot complete an external minor in Art History and Theory.
You will need to take extra UOC over 96 UOC to meet the requirements of an external minor that is greater than 24 UOC. External majors are not available in double degree programs.
MATHB2 is only available in 3961 Engineering (Honours)/Arts

UNSW Business Electives3543 - Economics
Students must take at least 12 UOC of the following courses.
Arts and Social Sciences Prescribed Electives3409 - Arts
You must complete 12 UOC of any courses offered by UNSW Arts and Social Sciences. Indigenous Studies courses (ATSIxxxx) cannot be studied as Arts and Social Sciences Prescribed Electives.
Economics Electives3543 - Economics
Students must complete 12 UOC of Economics electives or accepted substitutes of Economics electives to ensure a student completes a minimum of 78 UOC of Economics courses.
Note: Students in combined Economics/Computer Science, Economics/Science or Economics/Adv Science (Hons) who complete MATH1031/1041, MATH1131/MATH1231, MATH1141/MATH1241 instead of ECON1202/ECON1203 have the option of counting the MATH pair towards the Science component and must complete 2 additional Economics electives (4 in total) OR towards the Economics component and must complete 2 additional Science electives.
Students in combined Economics/Adv Mathematics (Hons) must count the MATH pair towards their Science component and will therefore complete 24 UOC of Economics electives.
Minimum Economics UOC3543 - Economics
Students must complete a minimum of 78 UOC of Economics courses or accepted substitutes of Economics electives.
Maximum Level 1 UOC3543 - Economics
No more than 60 UOC in Level 1 courses will be counted towards the Economics component of the dual degree.
Minimum UNSW Business School UOC3543 - Economics
Students must complete a minimum of 96 UOC of the following courses.
