Double Degree Structure240 Units of Credit:
Students must complete 240 UOC.
Bachelor of Arts (96 UOC)
1. A home major stream (60 UOC)
2. A minor stream (24 UOC)
3. Arts and Social Sciences Prescribed Electives (12 UOC)
Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) (144 UOC)
1. An approved Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) major; and
2. SCIF1131;
3. 48 units of credit Honours Year; and
4. Science elective courses

Majors3962 - Advanced Science (Honours)
Students must complete at least one Science major selected from the list below.
When offered in a particular major, students must take higher versions of any Level 2 or 3 courses. Any variation to this must be approved by the Associate Dean (Academic Programs) or nominee.

Students must complete at least one Science Honours stream selected from the list below.

You are required to complete one Home Major and one Minor:
Optional External Minors3409 - Arts
External Minors
If you are enrolled in a dual award program, you cannot complete a minor stream in the same Faculty as your second program of study e.g. students enrolled in the BA/BArt Theory, cannot complete an external minor in Art History and Theory.
You will need to take extra UOC over 96 UOC to meet the requirements of an external minor that is greater than 24 UOC. External majors are not available in dual programs.
MATHB2 is only available in 3961 Engineering (Honours)/Arts

Students must take 6 UOC of the following courses
Note: Students in the Vision Science major should take VISN1101 Seeing the World Perspectives from Vision Science instead. Students in Engineering Dual Programs should take ENGG1000 Introduction to Engineering Design and Innovation.
Arts and Social Sciences Prescribed Electives3409 - Arts
You must complete 12 UOC of any courses offered by UNSW Arts and Social Sciences. Indigenous Studies courses (ATSIxxxx) cannot be studied as Arts and Social Sciences Prescribed Electives.

Students must have completed 30 UOC before taking any of the following courses.

Students must have completed 72 UOC before taking any of the following courses.
Maximum Level 1 UOC3962 - Advanced Science (Honours)
A maximum of 72 UOC of Level 1 courses can be taken, including any General Education or mainstream Level 1 course taken to fulfil either the General Education or the Free Elective requirement.

Students must complete a minimum of 24 UOC of the following courses.

Students must take 'science' courses so that the major plus SCIF1131, plus Honours year plus 'science' courses total 144 units of credit.
