Acknowledging the value of play for adults, this course explores and experiments with different ‘soft’ structures and building methods. You are invited to produce human-centred spatial outcomes that facilitate unique connections between yourself and others, and the surrounding. Examining and experimenting with conventional notions of enclosure and construction methods of walls, ceilings, and floors, you will design and prototype solutions for temporary spaces uniquely suited to enhance playful experience and connection. You will examine tactility and other sensory activations to promote and produce immersive experiential outcomes.
