Licensing Law is an advanced course in administrative law, exploring the nature of a public law licence as an instrument of regulation, through the lens of four case studies:

You will also be introduced to the complex mosaic of State and Federal legislation that governs the liquor and gambling industries – from core licensing concepts, key compliance obligations, disciplinary processes and statutory offences applicable to licensees and the "close associates" who own or control licensed businesses.
This course will be of value if you have an interest in administrative law, public health, regulatory practice and the entertainment and hospitality industries. The insights gained through examining the legislation and case law will provide transferrable skills to other fields of occupational and industry regulation.
