In this course, you will learn how to teach children how to read. Among the range of approaches to early reading instruction, evidence best supports reading instruction that is explicit, systematic, and sequenced, and includes the components of phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and oral language development. You will learn what these skills are, how to teach them, how to assess them, and how to respond with evidence-based interventions to develop early reading skills.

Please note that the course is complemented by a minimum of 5 days supervised professional experience.
