Drawing for Design is designed to support essential design drawing skills through three studio projects focusing on observational drawing, visualisation drawing and presentation drawing. You will explore the materials to test different drawing methods and purposes; study techniques and ways to generate and reflect on ideas; examine shape, form, surface and structure to question the aesthetics, appearance and functions of 2D and 3D objects; as well as de-construct / re-construct 2D and 3D design products to make visible design ideas and concepts. This course will support you to develop your own personalised drawing methods, and use them as an effective means to support your design thinking mapping and design communications.
