Handbook

This course examines the origins of our contemporary period of globalisation by investigating the key economic, environmental, political, technological and social forces that have shaped it. It will explore the processes through which the world became more interconnected and interdependent by drawing on local and global case studies throughout history to the present day. This course aims to give students an understanding of the historical context of the global systems, networks and issues that link people and places, providing them with the necessary context to think critically about current and future challenges.
