Handbook

This course is part of the Aviation Honours stream. The course introduces undergraduate students to the broader topic of aviation research. As part of their Aviation Honours, students undertake a supervised research project. To ensure student can successfully complete their research work it is essential to underpin this with a knowledge of scientific research methods, the use of relevant specialised techniques, critical thinking and scientific communication. The learning and teaching philosophy underpinning this course is centred on Honours students taking on their ‘role as a researcher’ to develop these skills and the relevant advanced disciplinary knowledge. 

Student will develop the tools and techniques needed to undertake a self-directed research project relate to multiple fields across the broad content of aviation. As such, they will learn what research is, the research process, research planning, literature, and research methodologies.
