Overview

This course introduces students to the implementation of communications for robotic systems, and introduces tools such as machine vision and path planning for practical robotics. It has a focus on industrial applications, including end effectors. Students enrolling in this course are assumed to have an understanding of inverse and forward kinematics, robotic manipulators and end effectors, and the evaluation of robo performance (all from MTRN4230). In addition, students are assumed to be fluent in project management practices and have experience with project-based teamwork from previous courses.
