Overview

Business and capital markets have become increasingly globalised. This brings with it a more extensive use of cross-border financial information. This course will help you better analyse and interpret such information. We cover key issues in international financial reporting and analysis. Topics include comparing IFRS and US GAAP and understanding the impact of these standards on global financial reporting. You will examine the growing importance of ESG reporting and learn how to analyse ESG reports. The course offers hands-on experience with global financial databases like Factset, equipping you with the skills to navigate and analyse global financial reporting data. You will also gain insights into international auditing practices, enforcement of global financial reporting standards, and future trends in financial reporting. The course relies heavily on analysing current business examples and the use of case studies.
