In this capstone course, you will be supported in the professionalisation of your language skills through authentic translation and interpreting tasks taken from a range of contemporary, real-world contexts. The course will lay the foundation for you to engage with the profession where you will be guided in establishing a sound understanding of the theory and practice of translation and interpreting in local, national, and international contexts.

You will participate in blended learning consisting of both online and face-to-face lectures and tutorials. Lectures will be shared across all languages and will directly link to a host of online materials and tasks which will support you in your own independent development of your translation and interpreting skills relative to your unique language proficiency. This is reinforced by tutorials in which you will practice your bilingual skills in both language directions and take part in peer- and self-assessment.
