This course provides all commencing higher degree research (HDR) students in the Faculty of Science a comprehensive and integrated induction as they begin their research training degree.

Students will engage in several intensive days across the Term. Through a series of lectures, workshops, and online training modules, students will have the opportunity to engage with peers and relevant research support teams within the Science Faculty and UNSW Sydney. Successful completion of this course is also dependent on completion of any/all local (School-based) inductions relevant to their project or discipline.
Note: This course is specifically developed for students undertaking a MPhil degree in the Science Faculty at UNSW.
Conditions for Enrolment
Prerequisite: Students must be enrolled in 2475 Science (MPhil)
Additional Enrolment Constraints
Students should take this course in their first year of their HDR program. Students undertaking a PhD or MRes program should enrol in SCIF7200.
