Handbook

The focus of this project-based course is to give the students an appreciation for the multidisciplinary methods and activities involved in modern industrial practices around product innovation and entrepreneurship. The students will learn the structured methods involved in exploring and scoping innovations, product design and development process, design for environment, protecting innovation, managing projects and projects risks, project development economics, business plan basics, and lean startup method, when possible aided by industrial examples and case studies. Guest seminars by industrial and topical experts will provide further practical perspectives. To gain proficiency in the subject area and learn in a practical setting, students will apply theory to practice through a team-based product innovation project, which is proposed and selected by themselves. Essentially, students will be able to implement the understanding and skills acquired in the course in industrial and entrepreneurial setups.
