Overview
The Telecommunications specialisation enables students to specialise, and gain depth of knowledge, in areas related to recent and advanced aspects of telecommunications, including wireless communications, satellite communications, quantum communications, switching and routers, advanced network architecture, network operation and control, advanced modulation and coding techniques and GPS.
Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate a deep understanding of advanced theory embodied in Telecommunications Engineering.

Apply specialist in-depth technical knowledge in telecommunications and networking protocols.

Identify, critically evaluate, and use current research to the solution of complex problems in Telecommunications Engineering.

Think independently, critically and logically to apply tools and analytical procedures to develop complex hardware and software telecommunications and networking systems.

Proficiently apply self-directed learning, innovative problem-solving and design skills to open-ended telecommunications and interdisciplinary design challenges and the creation of products.
