The Award with Excellence is awarded in coursework masters programs, including Masters (Extension) but with the exception of Masters (Extended) such as JD and MD, when a Weighted Average Mean (WAM) of at least 80% has been achieved and at least 50% of the requirements of the award are completed at UNSW. All eligible programs will award 'with Excellence' except in special circumstances where approval of Academic Board has been given for a program to opt out.

Additional Expenses and Resources

This is a design-based program, and thus students may be required to purchase equipment or materials to enable them to complete activities and assessment tasks within the program. The Faculty will endeavour to provide such relevant equipment and materials as appropriate, and to keep costs to students to a minimum. Students will need access to a laptop computer with sufficient capacity for the software applications used across the program. The Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture provides recommended specifications for laptop computers, and computer labs with all required software applications are available. Some courses may involve site visits, which may incur costs for items such as transport, entry fees and guides. Details of these visits and any associated costs will be communicated to you by the respective course convenor at the start of the term.
