Program Requirements

Internship, Placement and Exchange Opportunities

There may be opportunities to carry out the research project at different research establishments / organizations around the country. Further, it is anticipated that several course visits will occur to various EO-relevant companies (e.g., THALES, Rheinmetall, NIOA etc).

Compulsory Training Component

This program incorporates some in-person practicum components, associated with several of the courses, which must be completed prior to graduation. These will generally be completed during the semester of enrolment in the course but may be deferred to a later semester with prior approval of the program convenor.

The Award with Excellence is awarded in coursework masters programs, including Masters (Extension) but with the exception of Masters (Extended) such as JD and MD, when a Weighted Average Mean (WAM) of at least 80% has been achieved and at least 50% of the requirements of the award are completed at UNSW. All eligible programs will award 'with Excellence' except in special circumstances where approval of Academic Board has been given for a program to opt out.
