Learning Outcomes

1.
Critically analyse the needs of particular communities and/or populations to promote health and wellbeing drawing on relevant evidence to inform proposed solution/s.
2.
Demonstrate capacity to initiate, plan, implement and/or evaluate public health projects and/or programs in a range of practice contexts informed by current theoretical debates and techniques.
3.
Apply advanced knowledge and skills to contribute to protecting the health of populations and preventing communicable and non-communicable diseases using appropriate scientifically based methods and contemporary theories and techniques.
4.
Demonstrate high level skills in communicating, working in teams and advocacy to enhance public health outcomes.
5.
Demonstrate understanding of current international developments and perspectives and their implications for productively working locally, intersectorally, and across communities and national boundaries.
6.
Demonstrate capacity to engage in scholarly inquiry, ethical commitment and critical reflective practice for informing professional practice in public health.

Students must complete 36 UOC when taken as a standalone program.

3. PHCM9100 - Academic Practice - 0 UOC - Required enrolment for International students who completed their previous studies in a non-English speaking country
