Program Structure
Students must complete 96 UOC when taken as a standalone program.
Regardless of which stream is chosen, students must complete the following:
Master of Information Technology (96 UOC)
- COMP9021 Principles of Programming (6 UOC)
- COMP9024 Data Structures & Algorithms (6 UOC)
- COMP9311 Database Systems (6 UOC)
- COMP9331 Computer Networks&Applications (6 UOC)
- GSOE9820 Project Management (6 UOC)
- 48- 60 UOC more Disciplinary Electives*
- Project Course(s) (6-18 UOC). ONE of the following options:
- COMP9900 Info Tech Project (6 UOC); Or
- COMP9991 Research Project A (6 UOC) + COMP9992 Research Project B (6 UOC); Or
- COMP9991 Research Project A (6 UOC) + COMP9993 Research Project C (12 UOC)
*Disciplinary Electives, Prescribed Electives, Non-Computing Electives and/or Advanced Disciplinary Knowledge (ADK) Electives can count towards this requirement. Total UOC required is subject to project course selection. Advanced Disciplinary Knowledge (ADK) requirement: - At least 36 UOC of the Disciplinary Elective courses must come from the ADK course list
