Handbook

This is a core course for Master's coursework students enrolled in the second year of the Masters of Materials Technology course. This course is to be done by students who are conducting their Master's thesis concurrently. This course covers topics related to professional development, specifically related to presentation skills and job applications.  The topics include public speaking, presentation techniques, presentation design skills (visual aids, persuasive media, slide design), and job application skills (preparation of resume / cover letter / response to selection criterion), and interview skills.  This course will be conducted through interactive face-to-face activities and practice sessions involving presentations, public speaking, and job interviews.  This will assist students in their professional development and enable them to gain skills to both conduct high-quality conference-style presentations and to succeed in job applications.
