In this course students will examine key elements of contract law and practice, including how and when contracts are formed, terms (express and implied), performance, what happens when contracts are breached, how they can be terminated, and remedies. Through exposure to case law and legislation, students will develop an understanding of sources of law and how to interpret primary legal materials. Students will also be guided to develop legal reasoning, and in the application of legal principles to fact scenarios. The course will be delivered online through asynchronous modules, online forums and synchronous online classes.
