Handbook

This 6 UOC course is tailored to the requirements of the Department of Defence's Capability and Technology Management College (CTMC) to complement its military-focused learning modules. It provides an introduction to the principles of naval architecture and ship operations from a marine engineering perspective. Students will be exposed to a range of vessels and their characteristic behaviours. Key topics include ship stability, ship structures, the ship design process, propulsion systems, auxiliary systems, standards and certification. The course will be delivered through a combination of lectures and tutorials.
