This course exposes students to research methods in applying data science and decisions techniques to a research project. The project courses serve as a capstone in the Master of Data Science and Decisions program. The Data Science and Decisions Project course is done over two terms under the course code DATA5011 and DATA5012. The assessment is a final report which is worth 80% and a presentation worth 20%. The project report is due at the end of DATA5012 and presentation is held at the end of DATA5012. Therefore there is no formal assessment while the student is enrolled in DATA5011.

Conditions for Enrolment

Prerequisite: Must be enrolled in 8959

Prerequisite: Must have successfully completed at least 36 UoC in their current Program

Additional Enrolment Constraints

A WAM of greater than 85 is recommended for DATA5011/5012. Students seeking to enrol into a DATA5011/5012 project are required to have the approval of the Director of Postgraduate Studies.
