The course helps cyber security professionals become familiar with legal issues they are likely to encounter and how to manage them in different circumstances - during normal operations, in responding to an incident, and in the aftermath of an incident. After completing the course, students will be aware of and be able to manage core compliance obligations as well as be in a good position to interact meaningfully with legal advisers in more complex scenarios. The focus is on Australian law, but comparative and international material is included where relevant, particularly where it impacts Australian industry.
