Overview

This course seeks to establish robust conceptual foundations for the conduct of projects. The focus of the Course is on the project as a domain of investment decision-making rather than merely as a platform for the exercise of rules and procedures. ZBUS8912 introduces a rigorous theoretical framework from which are drawn a suite of supporting analytical tools. These are then used to explore a number of important contemporary issues in project management across the public, private and social sectors. The course is not methodology-based. (The PMBoK and PRINCE2 are touched on, but only as topics for the short research papers prepared as items of course assessment).
