This course will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the assessment and formulation of risk for violence and self-harm, its application to management approaches, and consideration of the strengths and limitations of different approaches.

Students will gain practical experience in developing and utilising clinical skills in risk assessment and management, and in strategies for preventing and de-escalating risks. Acute emergency management of difficult behaviour will also be addressed.
