This course is designed for students seeking to extend their MBA experience with academic rigour. Undertaking a research project provides students with the opportunity to apply the management concepts developed throughout their AGSM MBA Program.
The Extension Research Project must:
be in an area relevant to business and managementrelate to the student's career aspirations.
Students must maintain a dialogue with their Supervisor about their progress throughout the course.
Students should familiarise themselves with the concepts of Responsible Management should they be confronted with ethical issues and dilemmas. Ethics is about choice - human choice, both at a personal and an institutional level. Being familiar with Responsible Management will assist students in recognising key conceptual distinctions and in employing decision-making frameworks to support their decisions in their ERP and assist in resolution of issues and dilemmas.
UNSW Business School is a signatory to the United Nations Principles of Responsible Management Education, which reference the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs will help students shape their thinking about Responsible Management.
