Handbook

This course is the second in the series of research units that form part of the Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Advanced) program, and follows on directly from PSYC5208 Research Project Introduction Part 1. In this course students are guided in the processes of constructing a research proposal, and conducting a literature review for the purposes of writing the introduction chapter of the thesis. This course will draw upon and enhance established skills in the critical evaluation of empirical evidence, applied research methodology and problem-solving, and coherent written communication. Students will gain knowledge and practical experience in the stage 1 implementation of a research project in psychology via a combination of online instructional videos and activities, small-group seminars, and one-on-one academic supervision. This course is taught entirely online.
