Advanced Clinical Practice 1 is the first of two units about contemporary pharmacy practice. In these courses, you will develop skills required for current practice and those required to extend your scope of practice. Hence, this course is also suitable for currently practising pharmacists, providing the opportunity to upskill in a range of areas. Advanced Clinical Practice 1 will equip you for geriatric pharmacy, deprescribing, medicine reviews, immunisations, and pharmacists’ roles in aged care and general practice. Successful completion of this unit will fulfil the requirements of 3 professional credentials: training, Good Clinical Practice, stage 1 of the Medicine Management Review accreditation process and immunisation administration.  Accreditation in immunisation administration will enable you to administer approved vaccines under supervision when you attain provisional registration, or independently if you currently hold general registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
