This course looks at the principles of rock reinforcement; active/passive support; support requirements for different excavation types and mining methods; ground reaction curves; load and displacement controlled support response; types of ground support/reinforcement hardware and related systems; design of support systems; interaction of mining method, layout and reinforcement systems; groundsupport … For more content click the Read More button below. Risk-based ground support systems and the integration of these systems into ground control management also form a major component of this course. An underground visit will also take place as part of this course.
