Data visualisation and communication is increasingly important as a complement to the study of analytics. The ability to present visual access to the huge amounts of data that business creates is an essential skill for any analyst. This course will introduce statistical and visualisation tools for the exploratory analysis of data. Students will learn what makes an effective data visualisation and how to create interactive data visualisations. Visualisation in Tableau and other tools including cutting-edge graphical, immersive techniques will be presented. There will be a strong focus on developing the skill of data storytelling. Students will learn how to combine data, create data visualisations and construct powerful stories to drive change.
