The Masters Coursework research thesis aims to allow students to deepen their understanding of a topic and develop critical thinking and independent research and writing skills in order to improve their prospects of acceptance into research degree programs, through the writing of a 10,000 -12,000 word thesis. The research topic … For more content click the Read More button below. The Masters Coursework Research Thesis is composed of two courses - Research Thesis A 6UOC and Research Thesis B 6UOC. You must enrol in both units and complete the 10,000 -12,000 thesis to fulfil the requirements. You may enrol in the two units concurrently to do the thesis in a single semester, or consecutively to complete it over two semesters.

Conditions for Enrolment

The prerequisite for entry is a Distinction average across four courses. Applicants should approach the Course Convenor for assistance in finding a supervisor and a research topic. Only once a supervisor and topic have been agreed will the Program Authority approve enrolment in the thesis.
