Legal project management (LPM) applies project management concepts and skills to the provision of legal services. This powerful approach structures the preparation, execution, and evaluation of legal work around client needs and goals. It is a method that has been embedded in the conduct of legal matters by many large commercial firms in Australia, the UK and US, and that is increasingly adopted by other parts of the profession. This course provides students with practical skills and tools to use LPM techniques in the management of legal matters.

This course examines the core conceptual principles underpinning LPM and gives students hands-on experience in applying them. Through immersive study of:

• innovation, design thinking and product development
• data and legal technology
