Handbook

In this course you will complete 75 days of clinical placement as part of your workplace learning experiences in a combination of clinical environments (50 days), community nutrition (25 days) or food service delivery (25 days). You will complete the remaining hours for this training in Dietetics Placement B with either 25 days in a community nutrition environment or food service environment. You will work with trained supervisors who are accredited practising dietitians at a range of placement sites as organised by UNSW. You will undertake supervised practice in the delivery of medical nutrition therapy, food service delivery and community nutrition. During your placement, you will develop your competence in specific clinical and professional skills that meet the National Competency Standards outlined by the Dietitian’s Australia.
