Virtual experiences and immersive environments are an integrated aspect of today’s work, study, and entertainment practices. This course explores the techniques of immersion from historical, scientific and aesthetic frameworks. It considers emergent technologies from a neuroscientific perspective and examines our perceptual responses to immersion. It does this through the examination of a range of immersive uses and industry experiences and by asking you to conceptually design your own immersive experience.
