In this course, you will gain practical, hands-on experience in curating and cultural leadership by undertaking a professional placement in the galleries, libraries, archives, and museums (GLAM) sector. Hone your understandings of gallery management, curatorial practice, audience engagement, public programs, art writing, or another area aligned with your studies and career aspirations. After first sourcing and negotiating a placement, you will undertake your approved placement (typically 100 hours), with a focus on applying your skills and knowledge to contribute to the success of your host organisation or mentor. The internship is designed to bridge your academic studies with the next stages of your professional career, and as such, should be taken in the later phase of your program. It is ungraded and requires the submission of relevant documentation upon completion of the placement.
