Overview

This course covers the taxation and regulation of superannuation in Australia.  Specifically, it examines the taxation and regulation of the three  main elements of superannuation being contributions, investment income and benefit payments. The course content includes: the Australian superannuation system (what is superannuation and how it works, the purpose of superannuation, types of superannuation funds), the underlying government policy of how super funds are taxed and regulated, taxation and regulation of contributions to super funds, taxation and regulation of investments made, and income earned by super funds and taxation and regulation of benefit payments made by super funds.
