Overview

In this course you will investigate and critically analyse a range of design contexts considering cultural, social, behavioural, ethical, environmental and sustainability issues within local and global frameworks. Through a research-led and practice-based approach, you will analyse existing design responses with the intention of identifying and evaluating various perspectives to determine the validity of the design responses and associated processes. Furthering this research, you will synthesise and apply your knowledge to a prescribed design challenge to develop, articulate and justify a relevant design solution. Throughout the course you will reflect upon your own practice to identify, test, position, and demonstrate your emerging values as a holistic and responsible global design practitioner.
