On completion of this course, students will be able to: *  Explain the varying definitions, terms and diagnostic criteria of various paraphilic disorders, their sub-categories and types of criminal behaviours. *  Deploy a sound knowledge of the possible aetiology and clinical presentation of disordered and criminal sexual behaviour when workiing in forensic, social, legal, welfare, psychological, mental health and other professional contexts. *  Discuss the forensic, legal, social, psychological implications for sex offenders. *  Use specialist knowledge about assessment, treatment and management in cases involving exhibitionism, sexual sadism, child molestation, fetishism, rape, voyeurism, frotteurism and sexual masochism, amongst other sub-categories. *  Assess the risk of sexual, violent and criminal re-offending of general sex offenders and different types of sex offenders. *  Discuss and evaluate a range of sex offender treatments, modalities and management interventions.
