Overview

This introductory studio in the Master of Architecture Program focuses on process. As design research is an iterative process wherein potential solutions will elicit more questions and previously unseen interconnections, you will be expected to focus on relationships and interconnections. Through this interrelated process of design, research, and careful reflection, you will develop a context-appropriate design proposal that combines the requirements of the brief with your own insights and ideas. This will allow you to begin developing the skills required to undertake graduation studio, which asks you to write your own design brief and work through the entire process to deliver a compelling final design.
