Handbook

This capstone professional experience project is designed to be undertaken in your own workplace. In this course you will identify an issue arising in your workplace that compromises the quality of the practice or an aspect of the practice that would benefit from improvement. You will then research for strategies to tackle the issue and/or improve the practice and assess these strategies in a relevant professional context using a recognised framework or a self-created framework informed by the relevant literature. Based on your assessment, you will design an innovation, implement the innovation, evaluate the effectiveness and efficacy of the innovation in the professional practice context and report on the innovation. As a requirement of this course, you will nominate a colleague who will act as a critical friend to provide you with feedback and support during your innovation project. This course aims to integrate your leadership capabilities, professional skills and technical expertise in designing, implementing and evaluating innovations for enhancement of professional practice.

Note: Students should enrol in this course over two consecutive terms for a total of 12UoC.
